Brownfields Tribal Response Program

Native Village of Eyak has been awarded a brownfields tribal response program grant for FY 2011. Brownfields are abandoned or underused properties on which there is the potential for contamination. The tribal response program will identify and inventory brownfields sites around Cordova and Prince William Sound and perform initial site assessments. Our brownfields coordinator will work with land owners to pursue brownfields grants to help clean up sites and address issues of greatest concern.
